Made in Singapore
It's the 9th of August again!!! It's my country's BIRTHDAY.......hohoho.....I used to look forward to national day during my school days. For that few days, I am nothing else but a Singaporean.....a sense of identity I guess.....but the best thing abt national day are those national songs like .....Count on me Singapore.....Stand up Singapore....
And now of course I like national day because its a HOLIDAY.....do you know the working class have no holidays for the past 2 months.....finally there is one day off now.
Working in a foreign company which not all the people are Singaporeans make me realise that coming from different culture and background mold a person differently. And Singaporeans are the best breed in the world. High adaptibilty, highly skilled, willing to learn and try, do constructive things rather than rioting........on and on.....
Y should we be proud that we are made in Singapore?
1. We earn and save in our CPF so that we can take care of ourselves when we are old.
2. We learn at least 2 languages. Goldlilocks can talk to us easily (that's y they invest heavily here)
3. We have a world class air port. (Till now I still think we have the best airport). Don't tell me abt those awards that we lost that's because of bribery haha. What i think is good enough
4. Low crime rate ( we don't steal cars hoh.....we merely jump MRT)
5. We are child-like at heart (see the way we q up for hello kitties)
6. Smart and thrifty ( see the way we avoid ERP gantries)
7. Great Food ( BBQ fish, Laksa, Bak Kut Teh.....yummy)
8. Clean environment ( litter bugs ge punished)
9. World class education system that train us to talk less work more.
10. WE R AMBITIOUS....haha....look at Temesek Holdings...look at DBS....we r the world
That's y I am proud that I AM MADE IN SINGAPORE> Toa Payoh hospital to be accurate haha......
